Marilyn Pride A charming Marilyn Pride painting of Besset and her pet ferret, Ichneumon. This the outfit Besset wears whilst staying aboard the "Australis" space station in the 22nd. century. Her necklace is original, but her clothes have been cobbled together from different sources -Besset's dress sense has never been very good! The leather sleeve on her left arm is a visual interface with her "Ai" -the computer personality implanted in her brain. |

Arnum Endean An Arnum Endean cel painting of Besset with gold leaf backing. Arnum has always been a big Besset fan and I waited a long time for this picture, -the wait was worth it! Note how "Sand, Time and the Stars" all feature in the imagery alongside the more obvious Ancient Egyptian motifs of scarab, gold and lapis lazuli. |

Louise Graber Besset and Ichneumon meet the Black Light Angels in this group portrait by Louise Graber. Unfortunately Besset can't really be meeting them unless she's dead too. - Ah well, nobody lives forever. Not even 3,500 year old Ancient Egyptian dwarves... |

Jason Jordan is best known for his two-fisted tales of mutant cannibals in the sewers of New York as featured in his comicbook "Demonskin". However the ideas behind why anyone would want to become one were crying out to be explored. So Jase and I got together and produced the Besset/Demonskin cross over adventure "Recombination/Reconcilliation" This is one of Jason's interpretations of Besset. Here she's in her clone's body with Ichneumon in a fantasy Egyptian setting. |

Jenny Pride is related to Marilyn. Mal's younger sister has a fantasy/symbolist style all all her own as well as a growing reputation as an Equine Artist. This detail is from a massive pencil drawing that features Besset's clone, Besset Taueret, breastfeeding her child Neoh. The drawing is full of symbolism even I don't fully understand. The shafts of light entering from the top right of the picture emanate from Besset's personal star. Ichneumon has metamorphosed into an otter to symbolise the water aspect of Besset's character. The serpent represents wisdom... It just goes on and on! |

David Pride is no relation to Marilyn, although he has engaged her services for his visual effects company in the past. Dave is a wizard at female figure modelling and photoshop manipulation. This amusing image popped unexpectedly into my mailbox one day. I was especially tickled by the fact that Dave had gone back to the source of my inspiration for Besset's look. Hopefully the charming lady in question would be flattered she's inspired such a forthright character! |

Adrienne Losin is also a big Besset fan and she sent me this paint and pastel rendering of Besset as a surfer chick... |
